Repeat treatments every 4-6 weeks help maintain a radiant, healthy glow.
Pre & Post Treatment Expectations
- Mild redness may occur immediately after treatment.
- Skin flaking or peeling may last several days up to a week.
- Skin may be more sensitive for 7–10 days post-treatment.
- A recommended post-treatment skincare regimen supports healing, always including broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen.
- Avoid exercise for 24 hours to reduce heat-induced redness or inflammation.
- Makeup can generally be reapplied once skin has healed, usually within 7–10 days.
Precautions & Contraindications
- Inform your provider of any history of severe acne, Accutane use, radiation therapy, oral herpes, or skin infections.
- Active acne, open wounds, or infections are contraindications.
- Those with a history of cold sores may be advised to take oral antivirals.
- Individuals prone to hyperpigmentation or melasma may benefit from pre-treatment topical creams for optimal results.
