At Clear Lake Medical Spa, we offer two categories of facials, Dermaluxx Facial and Calming Facial.
What is a DermaLuxx Facial?
The Dermaluxx facial is similar to a HydraFacial in that it uses small jet streams of solution to gently exfoliate while also hydrating and infusing the skin with serums. The cleansing process is non-irritating, soothing and perfect for those with sensitive skin. The gentle suction not only draws away dirt and oils while cleansing and infusing, but also extracts pores of blackheads, dirt and bacteria, which effectively cleans and shrinks pores and improves acne.
For those interested in a deeper exfoliation, we utilize wet microdermabrasion techniques that helps draw heat away from the skin, thus moisturizing, nourishing and healing the skin as well. Adding specific serums further optimizes your facial results. Serums are specifically chosen based on your skin needs and delivered throughout your treatment – during exfoliation as well as during oxygen infusion therapy. This constant delivery of highly concentrated serums, provides nutrients and hydration to the skin, leaving your skin looking beautiful and healthy.
The Dermaluxx Facial can treat acne, fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation and dry, damaged skin.
The Dermaluxx Facial is a great way to quickly refresh your skin, making it instantly tighter, firmer, and glowing. Using 3 synergistic and simultaneous processes involving vacuum, infusion, and exfoliation, the result is a more effective cleansing of the skin and a deeper penetration of TREATMENT-SPECIFIC SERUMS.
For the finishing touch, oxygen infusion therapy is applied to deeply deliver essential nutrients and minerals to your skin. What are the side effects and downtime for Dermaluxx facials?

- Redness after a facial is possible. It is usually very mild, lasting up to 2-3 hours. Post-treatment use of SPF 30+ sunscreen is recommended for at least 7 days.
- Avoid excessive sun exposure, sweating and tanning beds for a minimum of 1 week pre and post treatment.
- Please discuss any history of Accutane, chemotherapy (topical or IV), pregnancy, open wound or active skin infection with your provider. A history of hyperpigmentation or melasma may also benefit from pretreatment with a specific skin cream.
What is a Calming Facial?
This facial is targeted for sensitive skin types such as rosacea, inflammatory, or eczema, to calm and correct the skin. With light exfoliation and extractions, the Calming Facial will detoxify your skin of impurities. A facial massage is then added to rejuvenate and improve circulation to your skin.

Our Anti-Aging Dermaluxx Treatment is designed to boost collagen and helps reduce acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles while fortifying and protecting your skin barrier. This hydrofacial uses a gentle yet effective vacuum suction to remove impurities and dirt from the epidermis, leaving your skin smoother and cleaner while hydrating and cleansing the skin simultaneously.

Once the top layer of dead skin cells is removed, the exfoliation process helps stimulate new skin cells to reveal beautiful, young-looking skin. We finish up with a hydrating mask and anti-aging serums.
The Acne Dermaluxx facial is a customized facial utilizing products, techniques and equipment designed for acneic skin. Our goal is to not only clean, exfoliate the skin, and clear up the acne, but to help calm the inflammation caused by acne. This hydrofacial focuses on balancing the excess sebum found in oily and problematic skin as well as protecting and reinforcing the skin barrier.
Make it a Dermaluxx and feel the therapeutic effects of double cleansing, steam, extractions, and high frequency.
This is followed by application of a soothing, clarifying mask to calm and clear the skin. Follow-up every 2-4 weeks is important in treating acne in order to assess your progress and response to treatment. The results are clearly beautiful!
This facial brightens skin, treats pigmentation, lightens sun damage, and leaves your skin glowing. Our “Brightening Facial” enhances skin clarity, minimizes dark spots, and creates a fresher, more even toned appearance in all skin tones. Enhance this facial by adding dermaplaning for optimal results.

This Hyperpigmentation Dermaluxx Facial starts with a Vitamin C brightening cleanser which hydrates and lightens the skin. The skin is then gently exfoliated to remove the surface layer of dead skin cells. A brightening mask consisting of a blend of acids and papaya enzymes is then applied. The facial is finished with a layer of vitamin C serum for brightening and hydration.
The entire process takes between 45-60 minutes. Treatment may be repeated every 4 – 6 weeks.
