QuantumRF is an advanced, minimally invasive technology that delivers controlled bipolar radiofrequency (RF) energy to selectively reduce fat and stimulate collagen remodeling. What to Expect During Treatment
QuantumRF is typically performed under local anesthesia, allowing you to remain awake and comfortable. After numbing, a small, discreet entry point is created (commonly under the chin, along the hairline, or near the bikini line).
A blunt-tipped cannula is gently passed through the tissue, delivering precise RF energy while minimizing trauma. Each treatment area takes only minutes and may involve multiple controlled passes for optimal results. The entry point is often closed with a single suture.
Side Effects & Downtime
Recovery is generally mild and well tolerated. Common post-treatment effects may include:
- Swelling: Mild to moderate, typically lasting 2–3 days
- Compression: A compression garment is worn continuously for several days, then nightly for 1–2 weeks (area-dependent)
- Drainage or mild bleeding: Possible for 1–2 days
- Bruising or itching: Temporary and self-limited
- Activity restrictions: Avoid strenuous exercise for 3–4 days; resume normal skincare in 7–10 days
Contraindications
QuantumRF may not be appropriate for individuals with:
- Current Accutane use
- Prior radiation therapy in the treatment area
- Autoimmune skin disorders
- An implanted defibrillator
- Active infection or open wounds in the treatment area
Please inform your provider if you:
- Have a history of cold sores or shingles
- Take blood-thinning medications
- Have a history of hyperpigmentation or melasma
These factors may require additional precautions or pretreatment.
Can QuantumRF Be Combined with Other Treatments?
Yes. QuantumRF is commonly combined with radiofrequency microneedling or erbium:YAG laser resurfacing to further enhance skin tightening and improve texture, fine lines, wrinkles, and stretch marks.
What Is Accutite?
Accutite is a precision RF device designed for small, delicate areas requiring refined contouring. It permanently reduces localized fat while delivering RF energy through the full thickness of the skin—from the surface to deeper layers—to improve firmness and definition.
